Endurance GB has many groups throughout the
UK which organise rides, social and training events at a local
level. The Heart of England Group covers Birmingham, Coventry,
Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
Endurance riding can be loosely defined as 'competitive
long-distance riding' and endurance rides have been in existence
in Britain since the early '70's. The sport has evolved over the
years to a point where success at top level requires an almost
scientific attention to detail in terms of feeding and training;
however it still provides plenty of scope for the majority of
riders whose ambition is simply to enjoy the sport to the best
of their horse's ability.
For information on everything that is going on countrywide in
the sport please visit
www.endurancegb.co.uk. The aim of the
Heart of England Endurance Group's website is to provide information and support
to members or would-be members in our area, whatever their
aspirations.
We produce a newsletter every couple of months, simply subscribe
